WOMEN ON BOARDS

Following our Women on Boards Regional Dinner held in Bendigo in August, CLLM is pleased to announce details of its free forums to be held in October:

Women on Boards: What You Need to Know

Are you interested in taking on a Board/Committee of Management position in an organisation or
industry you are passionate about but not quite sure what it would involve?

Have you recently joined a Board/Committee of Management & want to know more about your roles
and responsibilities?

Would you like to be more involved in community or industry organisations, but not sure how to
find the time, or if you have the right skills?

Join us for this innovative four day program where you will learn everything you need to know to be a knowledgeable, confident, successful, and effective Board/Committee Member.

Day One - Sunday 17 October 2010 (NB. Change of Date)
Introduction to Leadership and Being on a Board/Committee

Day Two - Monday 18 October 2010 (NB. Change of Date)
Roles and Responsibilities of Board/Committee Members

Day Three - Sunday 24 October 2010
Meeting Procedure & Board/Committee Dynamics

Day Four - Monday 25 October 2010
Efficient Boards/Committees & Taking on Leadership Roles

The four day program is being held in Bendigo, with sessions to run from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm each day. Women are encouraged to attend all four days, however registrations for individual days will be accepted subject to places being available.

All four days will include a combination of interactive workshops, and panel sessions with women from across the region who are currently involved in a range of Boards and Committees including local government, industry associations, community groups and not-for-profit organisations.

You will learn about the roles and responsibilities of Board Members, as well as personal skills to make you a more effective Board Member including managing your time more efficiently, communicating confidently, and using emotional intelligence to make a difference.

There is no cost to attend the four days (NB. overnight accommodation is NOT included), other than a willingness to be more involved with local community organisations.

To register, download an invitation/registration form by clicking here and return it by Thursday 30 September 2010. Places are limited.
