incorporating the Loddon Murray Community Leadership Program

WOMEN LEADING
CHANGE FORUM

Women Leading Change Forum
Friday 16, Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 April at Kerang

Following on from the highly successful Women Leading Change Forum held at Lake Eppalock last September, women from across central and north-west Victoria are invited to join us for three exhilarating days in April to learn more about themselves, climate change, and skills that may help them in the future.

And it’s FREE!

The Forum is fully funded by the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry under its Australia’s Future Farming initiative.

The Aim…

Women Leading Change aims to motivate and empower women involved in agriculture, agriculture related industries, or from communities reliant on agriculture, across central/north-west Victoria to take a leading role in facilitating change.

It is a great opportunity to join other like-minded women from across the region to share your experiences and learn from the experiences of others, as well as participate in a range of quality workshops, hear from inspiring speakers, visit innovative farming enterprises, and develop new contacts and networks to help you in the future.

The Program...

The program is made up of a range of skills development workshops including:

  • Personality Profiling and Team Building

  • Conflict Resolution & Emotional Intelligence

  • Effective Networking

  • Managing Change

  • Community Engagement

  • Project Management

  • Communication Skills

  • Time Management and Setting Goals

In addition, we have invited a number of inspirational women to share their journeys with us throughout the three days.

Participants will also undertake a short study tour to visit two innovative farming enterprises and see how the owners are adapting to change.

We will also be showcasing opportunities for women to be actively involved in leadership positions at a local, state, national & industry level.

An ongoing network...

At the conclusion of the forums, Community Leadership Loddon Murray plans to establish an internet group and invite each of the forum participants to become members.

This will enable group members to access information about future training programs, seminars and events that may of interest to them, as well as leadership opportunities.

There will also be the opportunity for members to post project ideas/comments/suggestions and seek input from Group members.

The Benefits...

The benefits of participating in Women Leading Change are numerous:

  • Access to quality training, industry leaders, and inspirational speakers at NO COST,

  • Meeting other like-minded women and sharing your experiences of living and working in rural Victoria,

  • Growing your network and receiving access to a range of resources to support you in your future endeavours,
