And it’s FREE! The Forum is fully funded by the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry under its Australia’s Future Farming initiative.
The Aim…Women Leading Change aims to motivate and empower women involved in agriculture, agriculture related industries, or from communities reliant on agriculture, across central/north-west Victoria to take a leading role in facilitating change. It is a great opportunity to join other like-minded women from across the region to share your experiences and learn from the experiences of others, as well as participate in a range of quality workshops, hear from inspiring speakers, visit innovative farming enterprises, and develop new contacts and networks to help you in the future.
The Program...The program is made up of a range of skills development workshops including:
In addition, we have invited a number of inspirational women to share their journeys with us throughout the three days. Participants will also undertake a short study tour to visit two innovative farming enterprises and see how the owners are adapting to change. We will also be showcasing opportunities for women to be actively involved in leadership positions at a local, state, national & industry level.
An ongoing network...At the conclusion of the forums, Community Leadership Loddon Murray plans to establish an internet group and invite each of the forum participants to become members. This will enable group members to access information about future training programs, seminars and events that may of interest to them, as well as leadership opportunities. There will also be the opportunity for members to post project ideas/comments/suggestions and seek input from Group members.
The Benefits...The benefits of participating in Women Leading Change are numerous:
What Lake Eppalock participants had to say...“The best thing I got out of the whole weekend was future possibilities and how to achieve those possibilities.” “Thank you for a fun, interesting and informative weekend. I'm really grateful for the experience.” “As a whole, the forum gives me an altered perspective on life. Want to fit more into my life, achieve things that I plan. This sort of experience will benefit me in the future. Loved meeting beautiful women.” “I feel re-energised and have a little more clarity - which I'll be able to work on moving forward!”
