CLLM Board of Management

To help oversee the running of the Loddon Murray Community Leadership Program, a Board of Management is elected from graduates of the program and interested members of the north central region community.

There are seven positions on the Board of Management each of which is a two-year tenure. Positions are open for nomination in December each year, with four positions offered one year, and three the next year to ensure a continuity of experience on the Board as well as the input of new ideas and ways of thinking.

This ensures the program continues to grow and meet the needs of the North Central region.

Ms Slater has had extensive experience in the design and delivery of community capacity building projects including the Loddon Murray Community Leadership Program (LMCLP), the LMCLP Graduate Program, DAFF Women Leading Change Forums, Building Resilient Women Forum, as well as a range of environmental education initiatives for both adults and children including the Loddon Mallee Environmental Festival for schools.

Through her company JLS Consulting, Julie has facilitated a number of planning process for community based organisations including the Wycheproof Community Resource Centre Strategic Plan (March/April 2007); the Wycheproof Community Plan (December 2007 - April 2008); the Quambatook Community Resource Centre Strategic Plan (February - May 2009); and the Wycheproof Men’s Shed Strategic Plan (March - April 2009).

She also has extensive experience in project and event management, including coordination of the Swan Hill-Murray Downs Field Days, the LMCLP 10th Anniversary Celebrations, and industry events for both horticulture and rural women within the Loddon Mallee region.

Acting Executive Officer, Community Leadership Loddon Murray Inc. (April/May)

A life long resident of Central Victoria, Kerry Anderson is passionate about rural communities and rural people. Since the age of 17 Kerry has volunteered on committees and been an active member of the community.
With qualifications in public relations, marketing and adult training & assessment, she has worked for both the private and public sectors, including a national food manufacturing company, public hospital, regional newspaper and national philanthropic organization.
On a consultancy basis Kerry has offered her services to a broad range of businesses and community groups. Some of her roles have been as executive officer of a business association, tertiary trainer, corporate copywriter, and manager for a variety of events including business awards, a young farmer study tour, and an award winning national street rod run.
From 2006 to 2009 she was executive officer and program coordinator of the highly successful Loddon Murray Community Leadership Program championing leadership in small rural communities across regional Victoria.
Kerry is currently Acting Executive Officer of the Communty Leadership Loddon Murray.

Oscar took over the reigns as LMCLP Coordinator in December 2009 and brings to this role a passion for LMCLP, and many years of experience in working with the community in a leadership capacity, both as a member of the Victorian Police force, as a Councillor with Gannawarra Shire, and through his extensive community work. He is also a former LMCLP Board Member.
